Drowning in marketing dread?
Book a free strategy session to see if Farm Marketing Mastery can break you out of marketing misery.
I’ve got a ton of helpful marketing strategies on the Profitable Mindset Podcast today.
I’m the one in the hot-seat, being interviewed by John Haskell of Ranchonomics.
And not just marketing basics. I’m talking about the specific strategies that took me from watching my dad’s farm go bankrupt to building a raw milk dairy that consistently sold out at double what other farmers were charging.
From bankruptcy to breakthrough
The whole thing started when I was a teenager, watching my family lose our farm in our small Oregon community. Four years of financial struggle. Owing people money. It was hard.
Most people would’ve avoided farming after that. But I came back 20 years later with one clear goal: This time, it’s going to be profitable.
And here’s the thing — I did figure it out. Then other farmers started showing up at my house (55 of them in muck boots at one point) asking how I was doing it.
What you’ll learn in this interview
• How social media marketing sabotages your business. I know everyone thinks Instagram and TikTok are the answer. But here’s the reality: social media without the right foundation is like trying to build a house starting with the roof. I break down why this approach keeps many farmers (and business owners) spinning their wheels.
• The strategy I teach that’s 3500 times more profitable than social media. While others chase ‘likes’ and ‘follows’, my clients build relationships that turn into multi-thousand-dollar, lifetime customers. I explain how this works.
• The “serving vs. selling” mindset that changes everything. When you shift from trying to get people to buy to actually helping them solve problems, something magical happens. Your customers start telling you exactly what to say in your marketing.
The Big Picture
But honestly? The thing I’m most passionate about sharing is this: ‼️Farmers don’t have to be broke and constantly struggle.
Society often expects farmers to be poor. But when you learn the right marketing skills, you can build a profitable business that serves people and sustains your family.
The same principles that work for selling raw milk also apply to selling anything else: Building trust through consistent communication. Understanding your customer’s problems. Leading with service.
I want the best for you! Let’s go.🐄🚜🌷
