How to Raise Your Farm Prices Without Losing Customers: Regina raised her beef prices 20% and Not One Customer Said a Word
Episode Summary
Regina Rivers of Ithaca Beef in Carroll County, Georgia was teaching full time, hauling frozen beef to farmers markets in the Georgia heat, and posting on social media around the clock. She describes it as having a gazillion tabs open in her head with no idea which ones to close. She even went into debt stocking her new on-farm store with wholesale products nobody bought.
In this episode, Regina shares how she cleaned out the fluff, focused on beef, and built a relationship-based business where customers drive to her 95 acre farm and pay full price without blinking. She sold almost 70 cows last year, raised her prices 20% with zero pushback, and plans another raise in January. Best of all, she says her mind and body are no longer exhausted. If you are hustling hard and profiting little, Regina’s story shows you the way out.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode
- The pricing spreadsheet exercise that revealed why selling out every month still left no money in the bank
- How Regina raised prices 20% with no announcement, no apology, and not one complaint
- Why she cleared the “fluff” out of her own farm store and sold more afterward
- The weekly email with no buy button that keeps her stocked shelves empty by Saturday
Key Takeaways:
- If You’re Selling Out Every Month, Your Prices Are Too Low – Regina sold almost 70 cows in a year and barely profited. The cost spreadsheet showed her what she wasn’t accounting for. She raised prices 20%, changed the tags, and moved on. Nobody said a word.
- Your Customers Buy You, Not Your Product – Regina seldom posts about beef. She asks her Facebook followers to help find her son a car. She learns customers’ kids’ activities. When connection is strong, price becomes an afterthought.
- Clean Out the Fluff – Wholesale extras and low-margin add-ons are not a business. When people walk into Ithaca Beef, they see beef. Focus is what finally let her farm gain momentum.
Memorable Quotes
“I felt like I had a gazillion tabs open in my head, and I just did not know which ones to close and which ones to work on.”
“It’s okay if it’s not perfect. It doesn’t have to be A-plus work. Even if it’s C work, just do it anyway.”
“At the end of a long day, you’re tired, but Charlotte, I’m not exhausted. My mind is not exhausted, my body’s not exhausted.”
FAQ
Q: Why is my farm not profitable even though I sell out?
Selling out consistently is a sign your prices are too low. Regina Rivers sold almost 70 beeves in a year with little profit until a cost spreadsheet revealed expenses she wasn’t accounting for. Price from your real numbers, not from what feels affordable.
Q: How much should I raise my farm product prices?
Regina raised retail prices 20% and bulk prices 25% in one adjustment, with a second 20% raise planned for January. She made no announcement and no apology, and not one customer complained. Know your costs first, then raise with confidence.
Q: How do I sell beef without going to farmers markets?
Build a way for customers to come to you. Regina converted an unused picnic pavilion into an on-farm store and uses weekly emails and genuine customer relationships to keep it selling out, with no hauling frozen meat in the heat.
Q: How often should a farm email its customer list?
Once a week. Regina sends a simple email sharing what’s in the farm store, with no buy button, and her beef sells out. If you haven’t emailed in three months, your customers don’t know you have anything to sell.

Hi, everyone. I am so excited today to have my client here,
a farmer from Georgia, Regina Rivers, on the podcast today to share her struggles and successes and
how coaching and marketing training has helped her. And so first of all, I’m just going to let you
introduce yourself, Regina. Tell us who you are, where you’re located,
and Your website and then what it is you guys farm and raise and sell.
OK, so welcome, Regina. Thank you. So obviously, my name is Regina Rivers.
We are about 45 minutes west of Atlanta in Carroll County, Georgia. It’s pretty.
It used to be super rural. That’s always a hard word for me. But anyway, it used to be super rural,
but now not so much so. But this is a pretty agriculture rich area.
So I’m not swimming in the sea alone out this way. But we farm beef.
We have 95 acres and we sell beef. Yeah,
good. And tell us what your website is so people can look you up. It is IthacaBeef.com.
Okay. And IthacaBeef.com. And I mistakenly was also thinking New York.
And you said a lot of people mistake you for that. But it’s really, why is it IthacaBeef?
It’s not that deep. We live on Ithaca gin road. And when we first started this, we were at the
dinner table tossing around names that we wanted to use. And to be honest with you,
I had already listened to a couple of your podcasts then. And at some point you said that it was
not smart to like attach your name to your business, because if you ever wanted to sell it or
whatever, it wouldn’t be as marketable or whatever.
So we went with Ithaca beef. Yeah. Good for you. Good for you. And so I’ve loved having you in the
program. You’ve been here almost a year. Yes, ma’am. And do you farm with your husband?
He’s on your website. It’s a lovely photo of both of you. Is it both of you working together
farming? Well, pretty much. He does most of the heavy lifting. Like he takes care of the animals
and that kind of thing. And then I kind of handle the selling side of it or whatever.
He still works all the time. He is a contractor, so he works a lot outside the farm,
but we do as much of it together as we can. Yeah, that’s wonderful. Good. Well,
tell us, what were you struggling with a year ago that made you probably jump on a webinar of mine?
Like what was going on on your farm or with your sales or any of it that made you think maybe you
should find some help? Well, we started this business. We’ve had cattle and both of us were raised
in farming families, but we started selling this way as far as cuts of beef and stuff in,
I think, spring of 22. And out of our garage and that kind of thing,
we were making it, but it was tough. I was still in the classroom full time and I was hustling back
and forth and delivering to schools and different things like that. But I was really struggling. I
guess you would say just to focus and hone in on what we needed to be doing.
We were going to farmers markets. I was building websites. I was I just felt like I had a gazillion
tabs open in my head and I just did not know which ones to close and which ones to work on. So my
mom’s about two hours from me. So I go back and forth to her house as often as I can. And I came
across your podcast and I just started. binging on it every chance I got.
And I was like, okay, I think the big thing for me is that like when I would listen to the podcast
and it was coaching calls or whatever, I was sitting there thinking like, we’re all pretty much
struggling with the same things. But we don’t know where each other are and things like that.
So I just wanted to be a part of the community and just figure out the ins and outs and what are
other people doing that I’m not doing and vice versa. Mm hmm. That’s great. And then so then you
started in the very first class. I guide everyone through is the power of one, the how to focus.
How was that for you? How did that help you? It was great. Like we’ve never had more than one thing
as far as like real beef farmers. I mean, we sell eggs, but that’s just if I have eggs,
I have them. And if I don’t, I don’t. We are beef farmers. But I was still thinking we started at
farmer’s markets and it was just I know anybody listening has probably set up at a farmer’s market
and they are they’re tough. It’s hot, especially with meat. It’s heavy. It’s heavy.
It’s frozen. It’s hot here, you know, so. I did not enjoy the markets, nor did my husband.
So we were almost immediately looking for ways to get ourselves out of the market scene.
So once we were able to work that out here on our property, we had like a picnic pavilion that we
never used. So my husband closed it in and turned it into a little market to have here on our farm.
Oh, that’s great. It was fabulous. It is fabulous. I completely love it. It’s my happy place.
even inside the market and it’s small probably like 20 by 20 or 24 by 24 max um but i was just
thinking it needed to be full when people walk in it needs to have all kinds of stuff and after i
started listening to all the you know the power of one all this kind of stuff i was like this is
crazy like why do you have all this stuff in here yes not like people were actually buying the
fluff i call it or you call it low hanging fruit a lot yeah um i got in here and cleaned out all
the fluff and because there’s no profit margin on all the fluff you know it’s just and i actually
caused us some extra debt going uh buying some wholesale products and stuff to put in here so um
lesson learned yeah well and i just i just want to say like Most this is such a common problem with
farmers because we hear farm store and we think, oh, we got to have a little of everything.
We got to have some lotions and some things hanging on the wall and some if we don’t raise eggs,
we need to get eggs from the farmers and maybe some vegetables and maybe some wine and honey and
and jam and ice cream and all the things. you know you’re not alone like everyone thinks that but
it’s a marketing nightmare and it’s a you’re not going to make a profit so and then like you said
you thought you had to have all this stuff so you went into debt to purchase the stuff that wasn’t
gonna make you money so you’re so not alone and that mindset shift is that’s why i do the power of
one is the very first class because we gotta shift farmers mindsets that you’re not going to be
successful selling all the things unless you can learn how to be successful selling the one thing.
Absolutely. And I mean, people come here to buy our beef. So now when you walk through the door,
you see beef. Great. Fabulous. Yeah. And so tell me about that.
You focused on the power of one. And then in our Facebook group, you just have, you share successes
regularly, like things are selling out. Tell us, tell, tell me what all the successes are.
Well, the first thing we have, let’s see, this is four full years.
We started selling one cow a month in the beginning, and now it’s nothing for me to sell six in a
month. Fabulous. But now last year, we sold almost 70 cows last year,
but I really didn’t make much money. So I took the little sheet and started plugging everything in.
Our cost, the cost spreadsheet. Good, good. That is so enlightening.
And the first I do want to tell everybody, though, and I think you stress this a lot. It’s work.
If you don’t put in the work, it’s not going to work. It’s work.
went down the rabbit hole with the pricing because you had also said that if you’re selling out
every single month, your prices are too low. And selling out, but there’s still no money left in
the bank account. Yeah. So I have these, the, the pricing spreadsheets that everyone gets to go
through and, and it’s real eye opener, isn’t it? All the things you don’t realize you weren’t
accounting for. So. Well, and that helped me so much, too. And I will say that I just raised my
prices. I didn’t tell anybody or anything. I just went online and raised our prices. I came in the
store. I redid all of the tags and posters and nobody ever said anything.
And how much I will probably do it again. Yes. Good for you. Beef prices are through the roof right
now, too. But how much did you raise them by that? first time.
I went at about 20% because I didn’t want to do more than one increase in a year. So I went ahead
and did 20. Now on our bulk, I was closer to 25% because I realized that our bulk prices were very
low, but I’ll probably do another 20% in January because we’re still on the low side of farming,
you know, so I’ll do it again in January. Yeah. Good. So I’m hearing you built confidence.
How’s your confidence shifted? It is so much higher. Like I said,
it’s just I don’t feel like I don’t have to apologize for anything. I don’t know if it was you or
just somebody that was talking, was saying, you know, you don’t walk into Publix or wherever and
there’s somebody saying, I’m sorry, we increased our price. Right. Yes, I say that all the time.
And especially as women, me included. I don’t know. It’s so funny because I play a lot of
pickleball and like if I hit a wrong, hit the ball, you know, wrong and it goes out.
I noticed that me and all the other women, we apologize. And then I noticed that the men never,
they’re always making, hitting the ball off too. And I was like, wait a minute. What is it with our
society where women always, we’re finding ourselves apologizing for things or I bump into someone
or whatever it might be. And when we bring that into our business life and our professional life,
we just aren’t treated with. respect because people look at it as if you did something wrong.
So you learn that lesson. You didn’t do anything wrong by raising your price. So you didn’t
apologize for it. And so do you find yourself, I mean, what are your thoughts on that? I love it
because honestly, I’ve tried to take, I’m sorry, kind of out of my vocabulary just because when,
when you start paying attention to it, we do apologize a lot for nothing. But I also started
really, really paying attention to pushing my marketing towards women because,
you know, I sell beef. They do plan most of the meals and all those kinds of things. And now and
again, I get the husband or guy that comes in and I can tell that he’s in charge. But I feel like
now I have the skills to easily shift that. If I can tell he’s in charge, you know, I can kind of
just shift my verbiage a little bit or whatever. But yeah, I just feel like,
hey, this is what I do. I know that I deserve to make a fair living wage as well. Good for you.
It does not mean that you have to be poor and pitiful.
And I just go at it that way. And I mean, I know for sure now that if you are one of my,
you know, if you’re one of my customers and you want what I have, you’ll come and you’ll pay the
price for it. If you’re not, you won’t. That level of confidence you’ve grown over the last year is
everything. Like that is what allows you to build. a profitable business.
Yes, ma’am. Yeah. Oh, that’s wonderful. And it really does feel so good that you’re just like, you
know, I don’t hesitate when somebody asks me the price. And like I said, I can pretty much tell if
somebody is going to be a customer or not. You know, I love doing those interviews. They’re just so
enlightening. And I try to remember what the customers say during the interview so I can ask them
how’s dance going, that kind of stuff. Oh, that’s wonderful. You know, tell me about that,
because before we started recording, you were telling me about how what I teach is relationship
based marketing. And that’s you just started. Tell me about what you told me earlier about how you
just connect with everyone. You don’t even really have to. The meat sells itself.
You don’t even have to tell them to buy and you’re selling out. So tell me more about that.
What are you doing? Well, in the beginning, to be honest with you, I just felt so exhausted all the
time because I was in hustle mode 24 seven when we were first trying to get this going. I was
constantly on social media, you know, making posts, telling everybody all the things that I now
know they don’t even understand or want to know. They don’t they don’t want to know how we feed and
they don’t want to know all the things, you know. So I just kind of tossed all that to the side.
And I just even my. My Facebook page for, and it’s called Ithaca Beef.
I seldom talk about beef. I’m on there telling them, you know, that, hey, I’m looking for my son a
car. If y’all got anything, give me a shout. And they’re just messaging me and I’m messaging them.
And I have just made it a point to get to know my ideal customers, get to know the people who come
here and bond with them. I love, I love getting to know people.
I’m a people person by nature. when i started realizing that hey just just put yourself out there
and i honestly seldom even ask anybody to buy anything even in my um emails and before i started
all this i would be like oh i haven’t gotten an online order in a while but i was like you haven’t
sent an email in three months they don’t know you have anything to sell and now you’re emailing
once or twice a week you told me and you’re just relating to them you’re just in the way i teach
you’re just building relationships i try to do one email every week just telling them what’s gonna
what’s available in the farm store but i know it doesn’t have a buy button or anything on it it’s
just saying hey this is what’s here Because a lot of times my website says sold out because I would
rather stock the store than the website because I feel like the store gives me more of a chance to
get to know my people. Yes, yes. And then the better connection, stronger connection they feel to
you, they don’t even blink when your price raises by 20% or 25%,
not even a blink. No, nobody has said anything. And I’ll tell you another thing that…
I have listened. I can’t say that I’ve probably not listened to every podcast episode yet,
but I’ve got to be close. Oh, that’s wonderful. But I don’t I can’t even remember the last time
somebody asked me, like, how much are your ribeyes per pound? Because my freezer just says they’re,
you know, that this basket, they’re twenty two dollars each. So I can up my poundage price by a
dollar next week if I want to.
They don’t even say anything. I don’t even know if they realize I did it. Yeah, no, they don’t.
Because you said it yourself, they’re no longer there for the price. They’re there for you.
Yes. And I just love it. It makes my heart happy. It makes me feel appreciated. And I do love
helping. I’ve got such a soft spot for young moms and stuff like that. And I love knowing that they
came here and I was able to tell them what to do with their cube steak or whatever, you know, like
it’s just. I love it. I really, really love it. Well, I teach that marketing is serving and that’s
what you’re doing. You’ve embraced it wholeheartedly. You’re just serving your people and they sell
out and you’re going to raise your prices again and you’ll still sell out. Well,
it just really feels like I’m very specific in where we spend our money and stuff in regards to
because, you know, people are always asking you to sponsor or donate this or donate that. So I
always try to make sure. I have those two or three that I’m pretty much always going to say yes to.
And then I have our budget for somebody else I could choose to say yes to. But I just lean into to
our community and they have just been so very good to us. Sometimes I can’t even believe it.
That is wonderful. You’re living the dream. Yeah, I love it. A big part of marketing that you learn
and what you’re talking about is the mindset coaching. Tell me about that.
Charlotte, the mindset is everything. I have started like I’m I’m telling my son,
hey, it’s you’re just thinking that it’s not true just because you think it doesn’t mean it’s true.
And I’m going back into the classroom full time this fall and with fourth graders. And I can’t wait
to kind of like, you know, plug this into my classroom and those kind of things. I feel like I give
so much more grace to the people in my family just because like they come in and they’re upset. I’m
thinking, you know what? They’re upset because of the thoughts that they’re having and it’s causing
them to feel this way, but it’s not personal. I feel like I used to take everything personal and
most things are not personal, you know? No. And even if they are,
you’ve learned it’s always a reflection of what they’re going through, not you anyway. Yes,
absolutely. so it’s improved your relationships it’s improved your family yeah wonderful how have
you noticed it like in your marriage like which tell us about which relationships because this is
so important i i work with so many people come to me first and they’ve got some broken
relationships yeah and mindset work fixes that so where is it shown up in your life Well,
I will tell you that my husband, my husband leans more towards not suspicion,
but he’s skeptical. I guess that’s what I should say. Yeah. And he is amazing and he has the most
amazing business. all this kind of stuff. We’ve been married 42 years. So obviously I think he’s
awesome. Congratulations. Yes. But sometimes we don’t really like look at things the same way.
He’s always going to always feel like he’s playing devil’s advocate and stuff like that. And it
used to bother me. I felt like he was always being negative. Yeah. But now I’m like,
okay, that’s not a useful thought.
He’s not being negative. He is trying to protect me. I try to look at the thoughts that he’s
having. And why is he thinking those? You know, he’s not thinking that because he doesn’t want me
to buy a new freezer. He just wants to make sure that we can sustain it and those kinds of things.
You know, obviously he wants our farm to be successful. So when he’s bringing up the what ifs to
me. I know that he’s bringing them up in such a way that, you know, hey, let’s think this through
because he’s a little skeptical and I’m like, yeah, let’s do it. You know, so I think we kind of
even each other out a little bit. You do. And yet. if you hadn’t had the mindset coaching work and
the exposure to that, like you said, you see it as, Oh, he’s, I, I, he’s deflating my sick,
taking the wind out of my sails, right? To do anything. Yeah. Yeah. Someone recently,
you probably heard it me coaching Judith. She raises a lamb and she said my,
she raised her hand for coaching. She said, her husband said something. He just took the wind out
of my sails. And I said, what if his voice, is exactly what you need to balance you out.
And it’s what you just said. But when you see it that way, when you shift your mindset and you
learn to shift your mindset to, we’re a good team that complement each other. He’s not trying to
tear me down. It just makes your day-to-day life so much more fulfilling because you no longer
see them, their spouse, as the enemy. Well, and I do. we try really hard and I’ve seen him shift.
I’ve seen him start saying, okay, well, I can see why you want to do that. You know, but I think we
do do a pretty good job of like, okay, right now we need to have a little business meeting,
but you know, then we can go to bed and watch a movie and all as well,
you know, but right now we need to talk about this, you know? And I think we both do a really good
job of that. That’s fabulous. And then he’s, Does he watch the coaching calls or is this because he
sees you doing? You’re an example. He has not watched a single coaching call. He has been in some
podcasts because he’s been in the car with me and he’s listened a little bit. But I have told him
so many things well on the podcast today. And it was so funny because I had an event here on our
farm and we’ve never had like a vendor event. And I had one back in the springtime and I was
really. going back and forth with a lot of things. And I almost started laughing because I thought
he was being sarcastic, but he was being a hundred percent serious. He said, well, what did your
coach say? Wow. That’s awesome. At first I was like, okay.
And he’s like, I’m being serious. You said you were like, what did your coach say? That’s so cool.
That’s so good. I tell people all the time that everyone around you will grow.
When you’re in this program, getting your mindset coached, it rubs off and spills over and
influences everyone around you, not because you’re controlling them, but because you’re showing up
differently. So I love hearing that. Well, I just think the mindset,
too, is it’s causing me to really think through my thoughts, if that makes sense.
Absolutely. To be aware of them. Yes, I’m thinking through my thoughts and like, you know, why is
this bothering you? You know, and some of the steps I’ve had to make, you know, like you said,
just do it anyway. It’s OK if it’s not perfect. It doesn’t have to be A plus work, even if it’s C
work. Just do it anyway. Do it. Do it when your website is not perfect yet. Just do something.
And I spent the last year just doing something every day. And it’s paying off.
Focus time is amazing. Good, good. Focus time is great. I love, now my husband is doing his little
brain dump on Sunday nights. Good, so the time management program, you’re implementing what you’ve
learned there. That’s great. Yeah, it was probably three or four months ago I was sitting on the
couch on Sunday night and I had my notebook. I love to make a list anyway, so that part was easy
for me. But he was like, what are you doing? And I said, brain dumping. And he’s like, what are you
talking about? And he now does his little brain dump on Sunday night. Yeah,
well, then you can get in alignment with your schedules and your calendars, too. If it happens to
spill over onto your spouse, it can be a really wonderful thing, the mindset. work and the time
management, especially. Well, I do think you alone, like I said, just I do think your program
perfectly aligns with women in regards to like, you know,
just the daily obligations that you have to do, you know, outside of trying to build a business and
all those kinds of things. And like I said, I love women,
old women, young women, all the women like I just I just I see you like I know what we have to do
every day.
So I almost, I don’t know, like I feel like it has just allowed me to see the importance of what I
do every day, whether anybody else notices it or not. I do know that what I’m doing every day is
critical in the vibe in my house, the vibe in my family, my relationship with my husband.
It’s just, I just feel like, I feel like a vessel for my family and my business.
I really do. Oh, that is amazing. That’s wonderful. Sounds like you found your purpose. You’re
passionate about it. I think so. It’s touched everyone in the world around you.
How wonderful. Well, you know, I feel like this is my calling, that if I can help one woman today
feel just a little bit more confident, like you’ve described, that, you know,
if I can share that with you, then you’re going to touch. 10 other women in the same way.
And just look at us uplifting the world around us. And it makes life so much more fulfilling.
It does. I think of one of my customers in particular, she’s a young mom. She has two kids under
three. I know she’s a nurse. She works full time. Her husband is out of town working a lot of the
time, but she can come here and have a few minutes of peace.
She’s great at meal planning and everything that she’ll come in and make all her selections and
all. And I can take those two little boys and let them play in our sandpit or we can walk up and
hang out with the chickens and give that mom her 20 minutes or whatever to do what she needs to do.
And I love that. I honestly love it. How fulfilling. Look at all the people’s lives you’re
touching. Yeah, I hope so. Yeah. This program is so much more than just.
you know, learning to make money selling your farm products. It is.
I was hesitant because I was like, oh, that’s a lot of money.
And I, I honestly don’t even miss it. Yeah. Right. Well, you make it back many times over.
Yeah. Many, many times over. Not to mention it takes, it takes a backseat to how fulfilling life
becomes when you do the mindset work too. Yeah. I knew I wanted to do this.
Like, um, like I said, I was, you know, raised in a farming family. I didn’t go away from it for a
little while, but it was always there. But I never knew that it could feel the way that it feels
now. Yes, it probably looks different than your parents’ farm. It looks so different.
Like, obviously, you know, like at the end of a long day, you’re tired or whatever. But like,
Charlotte, I’m not exhausted. My mind is not exhausted. My body’s not exhausted.
Yeah. I thought the other day a lady was asking me, like,
when something would be restocked or whatever. And it just immediately rolled off my lips that,
you know, that email will come out on Wednesday. Because I knew I had it there. And I was like,
there’s no need in me running through this with her. Watch your email. It’ll come out on Wednesday.
Good for you. Good for you. Well, you just are so light. Like, you’re just effusing lightness and
fulfillment and happiness running a busy farm. you know i am yeah it’s it is a busy farm and like i
said you do like tomorrow we’ll haul beef and that’s a heck of a day it is but i’m excited because
of all the people that i’ve told hey our inventory’s been a little low but make sure you come see
me saturday i’m going to have plenty of everything So Saturday is going to be an insane day. And I
literally can’t wait. I’m so excited for you. This brings tears to my eyes. Like it’s so life
changing. I love this. A year, a transformation in a year. And, you know, I think we’re many of us.
Number one, I think a lot of people don’t know that mindset work is out there. Like you can feel
better. You don’t have to live life feeling like, you know, life is happening to you.
and so but also most people then just don’t take the time to get the help like you said it’s not
you know most people spend five to ten hours a week learning and implementing what i teach but it’s
so worth it so when someone like you then jumps on the podcast and shares how life-changing it is
you’re such an inspiration for others that We don’t I mean, I remember before I found this work
just feeling like so empty. Like, is this all life is? I’m so overwhelmed all the time.
Yeah. So good for you. I feel like no matter what, like my attitude has shifted to like,
really, no matter what happens, it’s just a thing. I mean, you know, like. You know, sometimes a
cow’s going to die and sometimes I pick up my beef and the cut just doesn’t look as pretty as I
wanted it to look. But it’s just, it’s no big deal. It’s okay. Yeah, it’s not worth ruining your
day. Somewhere you said nothing’s permanent. It’s just a situation. It’s going to pass.
It’s a circumstance and you can think thoughts that are making you feel terrible and ruin your day
or your week. Or you can think thoughts like, we’ll figure it out. And you feel so much better. You
even find ways to, I felt like a lot of my exhaustion came from constantly saying yes.
To like, you know, oh yes, I’ll get you this and I’ll get you this. And yes, I’ll get that cut for
you. And now I’m like, that’s not a cut that we carry, but I can offer you this. Like, it’s okay
for me to say, no, that’s not what we do. Yeah. I’m so glad you mentioned that because my new
training is if you find yourself always saying yes, wishing you’d said no,
this is going to help. So many of us find ourselves in that situation, men and women both.
But like you said, I really work hard to help women,
you know, and to reach women and let them know that. we don’t have to live life feeling so
obligated to say yes to everything or guilty to anything right well so as we near the end here i
like to end by asking so this is going to come out around the time you know my program opens again
for registration and there’s going to be a woman watching hearing you who would really like to do
this but And we just aren’t used to investing in ourselves. You know, we think we need to spend the
money on the kids or on our family or something else. We’re the last person we think deserves it or
warrants it. But what would you say to that woman who hears what you have to say and it’s thinking,
I want some of that, but oh, that’s a big investment. I don’t know if I should do it.
If she were sitting there with you, what would you say to her? Well, I had probably been wanting to
join for about a year. And then I don’t know what caused me last year to just be like, I’m going to
do this. And I didn’t want to pull out what twenty five hundred dollars or whatever all at once
from our business account. So I did the financing. And like I said, I mean, I just I just strung it
to our business account, let it come out every month. I do not miss it. And like I said, I do not
miss it because your strategies have allowed me to make. I don’t even, you know, you’ll say they 5X
their farm sales. I don’t know how many X’s I’ve had because numbers really aren’t my game. But
when I tell you just do it, you’re worth it. your family’s worth it your farm is worth it your
business is worth it like if this is something that you want to sustain get the help join the
community and learn from each other i think that’s one of the major major things yeah i think one
of the things that was pulling me back like i don’t have the money to invest this is because i had
never looked at what my beef business was responsible for I can’t expect my beef business to make
us enough money to buy a new tractor and replace all the fences because it’s not logistically
there. So once I just started doing all of the numbers and this is what we’re hoping for and this
is what we’re hitting and this lady is going to help me make it happen, I just did it. And I hope
everybody listening makes the same decision. It is totally worth it.
And I mean, you know, if you do the financing, I definitely would not recommend this. you can hop
off anytime you want to. You know, there’s no obligation. You’re not forcing anybody to stay.
Right. Of course. Yeah. And it’s, I was just, I did another podcast last week.
And I was like, have you heard of Charlotte Smith? And she’s like, you need to get on with
Charlotte. You’re so sweet. Thank you. Thank you for that. Shout out. Life changing work.
It truly is. And I’m, I don’t take that. I don’t take it lightly that I’m telling people that
because I know it’s a time investment and I know it’s a money investment, but it is life changing
work. Well, like any investment, it pays off. You could have put that same amount of money in the
stock market and you would have 10% more. You put a year later,
you’d have 10% more maybe, but you have 10 times more.
Some farmers a hundred times more, it just depends on, you know, who, what, where all the things,
but you make that back over and over again. Well, in the power of education,
I mean, can you really put a price tag on education? Right. Yes. And you’re an educator,
you know, you see those little fourth grade brains light up and. It’s so true that you’re taking
these mindset skills to the classroom. It’s going to change their life tremendously to instead of I
don’t understand Mrs. Rivers. It’s going to be like, oh, you’ll figure it. We’ll figure it out
together. Just that subtle little shift changes everything with kids. They light up like,
oh, OK, you give everybody the last 10 minutes of our. Time every day is going to be called
tomorrow starts today. And we’re going to get everything prepped and ready for the next morning.
And it’s, I’m not, I mean, like right now I’m excited about everything,
Charlotte. I really am. That’s wonderful. That’s what it does. Mindset work just, it turns your
mind, your life around. It turns your life positive. No matter what hard circumstance you’re
facing, you face it with new hope and belief.
that you will figure it out and security and self-sufficiency and confidence.
All the things I see in you are the things I see in all the women. And it’s so life-changing and
that can sound so cliche, like, Oh, it’s life-changing, but it is. I interviewed someone a couple
of weeks ago. And this is not a medical program or a weight loss program, but one woman got over
her many years of fibromyalgia and another woman, she’s like, I lost 45 pounds and I didn’t even
try to lose weight, but just shifting my mindset. Yes. Like my body used to hurt for no apparent
reason. And I don’t, I sleep so good. And it’s stress. Stress does this to us.
Social media was consuming me because I thought I’ve got to make posts every day. I hardly even am
on social media anymore. I mean, it’s just, it’s great. I would, I would have never dreamed,
never dreamed in a million years. Oh my gosh. Thank you. Well, I love having you as part of the
program. I’ve loved having you here. I love sharing your story. You have so many little successes.
And the only way you get to a big success is to pile on little successes. So I really appreciate
you sharing all the things that are happening in our Facebook group, too. Was there anything we
missed? Anything else you wanted to share before we sign off here? So,
yeah, I mean, I don’t think so. It’s just, it’s an amazing program.
And anybody who’s in this industry owes it to yourself to go through it at least for a year. Oh,
thank you so much for being here and sharing that. You’re an example of what’s possible to so many
women around the world. So thank you for being here. Well, thank you for the opportunity.
You’re welcome. All right. I’ll see you soon. Okay. Bye-bye.
