#307: Here’s Your Mid-Year Farm Marketing Plan: 3 Moves to Make Your Farm Profitable This Season (Part 1)

Here’s Your Mid-Year Farm Marketing Plan: 3 Moves to Make Your Farm Profitable This Season (Part 1)

Episode Summary

We’re halfway through 2026. And if you’re a farmer, your December marketing plan probably got shoved off the desk back in spring, when the workload tripled and the cows got out. Now the temptation is to keep your head down and hope. That’s how most farmers lose money.

But halftime isn’t optional. Coaches don’t keep running losing plays. They huddle up, see what’s working, and change the game. This episode is your halftime reset: three of six simple moves (the rest come next week) to make the back half of your year the most profitable yet. The catch? These aren’t just marketing moves. Each requires a mindset skill to actually execute. Because the difference between farmers who make money and those who don’t isn’t a better strategy — it’s a more profitable mindset. Being behind at halftime isn’t a verdict. It’s just numbers telling you where to focus next.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode

  • The “halftime” mindset that turns a behind-schedule year around
  • The Rule of One: how to pick the single product to focus on — and why every product you sell is its own business with eight jobs behind it
  • How to plan a five-day sales launch (the strategy that sold one client over $100,000 of beef in five days)
  • The simple lead-magnet-plus-QR-code system that replaces the newsletter nobody signs up for
  • The three mindset skills underneath it all: staying focused, feeling discomfort without running, and asking without apologizing

Key Takeaways:

  • Pick One Product — Diluted Focus Gives You Diluted Results
Focus on the single product that makes the most money and that you enjoy — because seven products isn’t seven income streams, it’s 50+ jobs run by one exhausted person.
  • Plan One Five-Day Sales Launch — And Feel Uncomfortable on Purpose
Commit to one product, one week, and five emails that make people excited to buy — and learn to feel the pre-launch discomfort without distracting yourself out of sending them.
  • Build Your Email List Now — This Window Closes When the Season Slows
Summer puts more potential customers in front of you than any other time, so capture their emails with a free lead magnet and a QR code while the window is open.

Memorable Quotes

“Being behind at the halfway mark is not a verdict. It’s just numbers. It tells us exactly where to focus your attention for the next six months.”

“Seven products is not seven streams of income. It’s 50-something jobs run by one exhausted woman.”

“The discomfort does not hurt you. Avoiding the discomfort is what hurts you, because it’s going to keep you broke.”

FAQ

Q: What is a mid-year farm marketing reset?

A halftime huddle for your farm. At the year’s midpoint, you stop reacting, see what’s working, and choose focused moves to finish strong.

Q: What is the Rule of One?

Focusing your marketing on a single product instead of spreading across everything. Each product carries eight jobs, so focusing on one lets you make it profitable — then that profit funds the next.

Q: What is a five-day sales launch?

One product, one week, one carefully written email a day for five days — each with a specific role that makes customers excited to buy without pressure.

Q: How do farmers build an email list at a farmers market?

A lead magnet plus a QR code. Offer a free gift that solves a customer problem, link it to a simple sign-up page, and put the code in front of everyone.

Q: Why does mindset matter more than marketing strategy?

Because the strategy fits on a note card — the hard part is executing it when your brain talks you out of it. Farmers who finish strong aren’t the ones with the most tactics; they’re the ones who learn to coach themselves through those moments.

Today’s episode is your mid-year farm marketing reset plan,
and this is to continue what you started in January if you’re still on track,
or if for some reason your marketing plans for this year were abandoned, we’re going to help you
get back on track and finish the year strong. Because why now? Well,
we’re exactly halfway through 2026, and most farmers don’t take the time to do this this time of
year. But if you do, it can make all the difference in your sales and profit for this season.
All right. So we’re going to do a little exercise. I’ve got six steps that are. short and simple,
and you can do them immediately. I’m going to go over three of them today and three of them next
week. And speaking of today, when you get this episode, when it’s published, we are a day or two
away from my son’s wedding, and we’re so excited. My daughter, the flower farmer,
was tasked with growing all the flowers for the wedding. They told her a year ago. And then…
is doing the bridal bouquets and the rest of us are doing all the bouquets for the wedding and
reception. So when this airs, we are probably elbow deep in my garage where it’s cool with hundreds
of flower arrangements. And it’s just going to be a wonderful day. And we could not have planned
the weather better. Like we couldn’t have prayed hard enough for it to do what it’s doing.
The forecast is for 75 degrees sun. no wind, no humidity.
The most perfect day in the whole world for this wedding. Again, we couldn’t have planned. Many
times this time of year, it’s 85, 90, 95 degrees. It’s sweltering. So it’s all going to be perfect.
And if you get my emails, of course, next week we’ll have an email with pictures from the wedding.
So it’s just going to be beautiful and fun and so sweet. And I’m very excited. Okay,
so back to you. I know this is a busy time of year. And it could seem like maybe you don’t have
time to spend thinking about marketing. But think of it this way.
Think of soccer. And I say soccer because right now my husband’s got the World Cup on for a couple
hours every evening, checking in with scores and things. So it reminded me of this analogy.
For any sports team, halftime is not optional. The coaches don’t say,
well, we’re behind. Let’s just keep doing what we’ve been doing and hope it works out. They don’t
do that. They huddle up. They look at what’s working. They look at what wasn’t working. They change
the play. And the second half of the game often looks very different than the first. Most farmers
don’t do this sort of reset halfway through the year, though, because in all fairness,
it’s usually the busiest time of year. So we try to either write out the plan we made in December,
or perhaps it was abandoned already. Because as you know, the year starts.
Spring and summer hits. The workload triples. Or a kid gets sick or the cows get out.
You get some disease. We have a heat wave and you can’t harvest fast enough. There’s all these
things to react to. And the marketing plan you planned last winter gets lost,
gets shoved off the desk. And then July rolls around. We just keep our heads down and hope for the
best in the rest of the season. Usually ending up losing money.
This year though, I don’t want you to succumb to that. I don’t want you to give into that. So in
this episode of next week, I’m giving you these six moves that are going to help you.
The halftime reset that turns the back half of your year into your best six months yet.
All right. So what I would have told you though, a year ago or five years ago is these six moves.
are not just marketing moves. Every single one of them requires a mindset coaching skill you have
to build inside your own mind to actually execute it. The difference between farmers who make money
and those who don’t is not just a different strategy. It’s a different mindset,
having a useful and profitable mindset versus not useful, not profitable mindset.
And it’s good to know that our default mindset, our brain is wired to go negative,
to be not useful and not profitable, to keep us from making money. Did you know that?
If you didn’t, that was a really useful thing I learned years ago in my coach training was our
brains are wired to go to anxiety. and not so useful emotions.
So we actually have to learn the skill of having a useful and profitable mindset and productive.
All right. So you can know all the marketing strategies in the world. You can try the latest,
greatest strategies, but you won’t do it if you haven’t built the mindset coaching skill in your
head to do it. So I’ll address… that today as well. That’s the part nobody teaches us. It’s the
part keeping most people stuck. And it’s exactly why this podcast is called The Profitable Mindset,
because you won’t make money doing the marketing strategies if you don’t start with that
profitable, productive, useful mindset. And a little tease for you,
I’ll be talking about this more as the summer goes on, but I will be teaching the exact coaching
skills that I use starting in August in the Profitable Mindset Academy.
So if you’re interested in learning the skills that I use when I coach my clients,
then be sure you’re signed up to get more information on that. Sign up is free. It’s at
charlottemsmith.com forward slash coach, C-O-A-C-H. When you sign up at that link,
it gives you, you’ll be sent a little video I created and I’m teaching you in that the very first
skill you’ve got to learn. It’s the most powerful coaching skill of all I teach. Get that skill,
get that video, learn that skill, look at it, see if it’s of interest to you, and you’ll start
getting more information on the Profitable Mindset Academy, where you turn your whole life around
when you learn those coaching skills. All right, so today, let me walk you through the first three
moves to help the last half of your season be the most it can possibly be for you.
I want it to be really successful. All right. So the thing I want you to know, though, is a quick
reframe because I can imagine what your brain might be doing if you feel behind on your goals right
now. Being behind at the halfway mark is not a verdict. It’s not the end.
It’s just… It’s just numbers. It tells us exactly where to focus your attention for the next six
months. The farmers who finish strong, finish season strong, finish a year strong are not the ones
who started strong necessarily. They’re the ones who use July to reset on purpose and who have
built the inner skills, the mindset skills to actually execute what I’m going to share with you.
All right, so here’s what you can do. Get a piece of paper or open a note on your phone. As I walk
you through each move, write down the specific action you’re going to take this week.
Don’t wait for next week, next month. Do it now. And so by the end of this two-part series,
you will have six things on your list that you can implement. So the first move is the one that
changes everything for the farmers I work with. It’s the only thing that if nothing else will work.
if you don’t do this one thing, and that is to pick the one product you’re going to focus on for
the rest of the year. I know you, maybe you sell five things or 10 things. I had seven different
products going at once on my farm before I figured out the skill of focusing on one to finally get
profitable, to pay myself with money and have money left over every year. So it’s okay if you have
multiple products, but choose one. You might have chicken, pork, and beef, or flowers you sell to
florists, flowers you sell retail to the public. Maybe you sell at a farmer’s market and you have a
you pick and you have an on-farm store. Choose one, one product that you are going to focus on
now. Because think of it this way, every product you sell is actually its own business.
I didn’t used to understand this, but if you have three or four or seven products, you’ve got seven
businesses. That’s exactly why we end up working 18-hour days and not making money.
Here’s what I didn’t understand in my past, in the beginning days of my farm. Every single product
you sell needs the same eight jobs done behind it. Somebody has to market it,
sell it, plan it. Somebody has to deliver it, handle the customer service for it,
do the labor specific to that animal or plant. maintain the infrastructure for it and do the books.
That’s eight jobs. Every single product requires those eight separate jobs.
You can’t market two things at once. You have to have separate marketing. Otherwise you won’t sell.
Okay. So when you sell one product, that is one set of eight jobs. If you sell three products or if
you sell seven products, that’s seven sets of eight jobs. you can’t market two or three or four
things at once. You just can’t double up. Businesses don’t work that way. And on a small farm,
there’s usually only one person handling most of those jobs, you as a farmer.
So seven products is not seven streams of income. It’s 50 something jobs run by one exhausted woman
in many cases. There’s your 18 hour day right there. That’s the whole math of why I wasn’t making
money early on on my farm when I discovered this. I spent one year, the next year, refocusing and
scaling everything back to one product to get profitable and have a sustainable,
fulfilling life. So just know that diluted focus gives you diluted results and no money every
single time. here’s the rule of one I teach now. We just started the Profitable Farmer Marketing
Program again in June. It won’t open up till November. And so we just did the rule of one class
last week. It’s about an hour long and it is where you learn exactly which one product will make
you the most money, the fastest when you focus on it for your farm. So I just guided.
all of our students through that. So just know that you can’t make seven products profitable at the
same time. You’ve got to learn the skill of making one product profitable. And the profit from that
one product gives you the time and the money to then make the next product profitable.
So at the halfway point, here’s your question. Of everything you’re selling this year,
which product, if you went all in on it for the rest of the season, would make you the most?
money, and do you enjoy it? Not the one that’s necessarily easiest or quickest or the one you’re
most attached to. The one that you enjoy, if you focused on it, could turn your year around to be
profitable. For some of you, maybe it’s beef or maybe it’s chicken or maybe it’s a fall bouquet
subscription or maybe it is a fall meat share or a class.
You want to teach a series of classes or a farm experience, but whatever it is,
pick one, write it down. This is your back half product. Here’s the part most people miss.
Picking one product doesn’t have to mean you stop selling the others. It just means the others run
in the background while your attention, your focus, your emails, your marketing, your social posts,
your everything is about the one product. You stop spreading your marketing across everything you
grow and sell because it’s not going to work. to make you a profit, pay you the salary that you are
worth as the farm owner, and also have lots of profit left over. It’s not going to do that if you
spread your marketing across all the things. You point it all instead at the one product that’s
going to fund your year. But here’s what you got to do. There’s a coaching skill underneath this
move. And the coaching skill is the ability to choose and then stay focused.
You may think this is a marketing move, but it’s not. It’s a self-trust move.
Because the moment you pick one product, your brain is going to explode with objections like,
well, what about the other products? What if I picked the wrong product? What if I should have
picked beef instead of chicken or pork instead of beef? What if my customers want the other thing?
Or even farmers will say, well, this can’t be right because every other farmer I see on social
media is selling all the things. Yes. And guess what? They aren’t profitable doing it unless they
learned how to get one thing profitable first, including that includes not just profitable as in
money left over, but a generous salary for the owner. And know that that objection voice inside of
you will not stop. It will get louder when sales slow down. It’ll tell you,
oh, just abandon the one thing and go back to spreading your attention across all of them. And if
you don’t have the coaching skill, the self-coaching skill to manage that voice, you’ll slip back
into your old pattern within. days or weeks. I’ve watched it happen to hundreds of farmers until
they get coached. The skill is being able to hear your brain second guessing the decision and not
act on it, but instead redirect back to focus. You can do that by acknowledging the thought like,
oh, there’s my brain doubting it’ll work again. Then keep on going. Acknowledge your brain.
arguing, doubting, objecting, say, oh, there you go, doubting again, but keep your focus on the one
thing. The doubt is not data. The doubt is just your brain trying to keep you safe by going back to
what’s familiar, even though it’s not profitable. And again, that’s what our brains do. They
prioritize familiar actions, like trying to sell all the things instead of focusing on one thing
because that’s something new. So if you can build this one skill, the ability to choose and stay
focused, you’ll change your farm business in the next six months. This is why coaching is built
into my program because it’s hard to focus. Our brains are wired to not focus. It’s also why I
teach the coaching skills because most of us need to hone the skill of focus.
So action one, write down the one product you’re going to focus on. and move on. All right.
So then move number two is you’re going to plan one focused sales launch during the back half of
the year. Not just posting weekly about sales or randomly or even daily, but one week of focused
sales sending an email a day. If you’ve listened to me for any length of time, you’ve heard me talk
about the five-day sales launch that I teach. It is the single biggest profitable farm marketing
strategy I have ever found. And my farmers make money. The clients in the program learn the skill
of making money. More money than they ever dreamed possible. And the single biggest needle mover
for that is the five-day launch. We even write your first five-day sales launch for you.
We write your first set of emails for you based on the one product you want to move now.
Here’s what it is. The five-day sales launch is you pick that one product and you pick one week.
That’s what I want you to do. Pick one week where for five days, you’re going to send an email
carefully written in the way I teach that makes them feel excited to buy and does not feel pushy.
It can’t just be a random email for five days. You got to follow the system. Each email has a very
specific role and the results of this five-day launch are not small. Sarah,
one of my clients, she used to sell her beef cows one at a time all year long, a quarter here,
a quarter there, trying to push her cows, scrambling all year. She learned this one framework and
in her next launch, she sold over $100,000 of beef in five days in February through all the beef
for the year, which meant she could get back to… relating with her customers and serving them
instead of trying to sell. She did that in five days. Brooke, flower farmer, does the same thing on
her flower farm. This spring, she sold 90 shares in her launch, her five-day launch.
When she first met me a couple years ago, she was struggling to sell 20 shares in a season.
Now she does 90 in a week. Another client, this farmer, said her January launch became the best
sales week she’d had in 10 years. And it also kept her afloat because they had applied for a loan.
Their funding got delayed. So she did the five-day sales launch, made more money in a week than
she’d ever made in all 10 years of farming. And then her lender actually approved her loan because
they saw the demand she was able to create in that one week. right? You can’t make these
testimonials up. These are the things we hear every week inside the Profitable Farmer program in
our private Facebook group. So this is move two. Open your calendar, look at the back half of the
year, July, August, September, October, November, December, and pick one week and circle that week,
mark it off with sticky notes or something. And this is your launch week for that one product. Make
sure you don’t do it next week. You need some time to get the pictures, write the emails, learn the
skill, that sort of thing. But the coaching skill underneath this move is the ability to feel
uncomfortable on purpose. and not distract yourself away from the discomfort.
That’s what your brain wants to do. When we commit to a week of launching, the week before,
your brain is going to lose its mind. It’s going to tell you things like, okay, my emails aren’t
good enough. My pictures aren’t good enough. People are going to think I’m too salesy. What if
nobody buys? What if everyone unsubscribes? Every farmer I’ve ever coached has felt this.
Hundreds and hundreds of… farmers. It’s totally normal to have your brain explode with these
objections. And without mindset coaching, me included, what most farmers do without realizing it is
they distract themselves with other activities, which are endless on a farm. They tell themselves
those activities are important and the emails will get written later. They got to do that one thing
now. But it really comes because they feel pushy. or like something in it is not good enough,
or it’s not going to work. That’s the moment the launch dies. Not because the strategy didn’t work,
because it does. I have proof over and over again. But because the farmer couldn’t sit with the
discomfort of putting something out into the world that was new. So the skill is being able to feel
the discomfort and not run from it. Recognize it. Name it. Wow,
I’m feeling anxious right now because I’m about to risk rejection and ask people to buy.
Of course you feel anxious or scared or worried or something else. That’s totally normal. And can
you keep going? Send the emails anyway. The discomfort does not hurt you.
Avoiding the discomfort is what hurts you because it’s going to keep you broke. I want to tell you
about a recent client of mine, a farmer who raised, he had a raw milk dairy, but he was also
raising calves for his neighbor. And he came to me for coaching because he was losing money on
every animal he sold. And the conversation he wanted me to help him with was he had to talk to the
neighbor about raising his prices. And when I asked him what his thought was about it, he said, I
can’t raise the price on the neighbor. because he’s having financial struggles and I feel obligated
to keep my prices low. And so I asked him, when you feel obligated to keep your prices low,
what do you do? And this is right out of the mindset. These are the mindset coaching skills you are
going to learn to use with yourself or with family members or people around you. So I asked him,
when you feel obligated, what do you do? He said, well, I don’t raise my price.
I don’t talk to him. I continue losing money and I’m not present with my family. I think about it
constantly and I feel terrible, anxious, and defeated. We coached through it.
We got to the truth, which he actually ended up saying, well, I don’t even want to raise calves
anymore at all. He was doing that out of obligation. So he’d been avoiding the conversation for so
long. It was costing him money, time, presence with the people he loved. And underneath the
avoidance was a feeling he didn’t want to feel. And that is the discomfort of disappointing someone
he cared about, the neighbor. But what I want to share with you, and this is a coaching skill we
have to all learn, is do you know it’s actually okay to make a decision to do or not do something
on your farm and let people down? It’s okay to do that. You have your permission.
You have given inherent permission to make a decision for your family or your farm,
knowing that others are going to be disappointed or let down. It’s a normal human emotion. We
stopped doing farm camp when my kids aged out and I did not have the passion for it anymore. A lot
of families were disappointed. Families that have been waiting years for their kids to be old
enough. to go to, to attend, people were disappointed and let down. I had to coach myself to be
okay with that. It was no longer sustainable for me or our farm. So if we take responsibility for
never letting anyone feel disappointed, not allowing people to feel let down,
we will never be happy. Our farm won’t be successful. We won’t be around long-term. So by the end
of my coaching session with this farmer, he came up with a new thought. Having this conversation
and letting him know I’m no longer going to raise calves is how I want to take care of myself and
my farm. When he thought that, he felt confident. And when he felt confident,
he said, okay, I’m ready to go have the conversation I’ve been avoiding. Then he came back the next
week and said the neighbor didn’t even flinch or bat an eye and was immediately understanding when
he said he wasn’t going to raise and sell him calves anymore. Okay. That’s the skill underneath
move number two, being able to do the sales launch is being able to feel the discomfort,
name it and take the action anyway. This can be hard.
That’s why. Mindset coaching is so crucial. I meet with my coach every week and I coach every week.
My farmer’s in the program too. So just know that if you can’t do this, it’s not because you’re
weak or unskilled or not very good or not good enough.
It’s none of that. It’s just you have not learned the skill of mindset coaching. It’s crucial in
our lives today to feel fulfilled and have happy, sustained.
lives and families and great relationships. I know no other way to do that than make sure you learn
mindset coaching skills. All right. So move number three is the one I want you to act on now the
fastest because this window is open right now and it closes when the season slows down.
And that is building your email list. You have more customers right now driving by,
walking by your booth. or your farm store or your farm stand,
more people on tours right now, more people connecting with you, coming,
showing up in front of you than any other time of year. Most of them will not come back next week
or month or season, but if you get their email addresses today, you have a customer for life.
And here’s how I see most farmers doing this. They’ll have a sheet of paper at the farmer’s market
where the pen attached to it says, join our newsletter. Well, nobody wants another newsletter,
right? Our email inboxes are too full as it is. So nobody signs up. Or if they do,
you often can’t read their writing. Or maybe the farmer has a square reader and they just process
the payment and the customer walks away and they never see them again. Or they have a farm stand.
People drop money in a box. Zero way to follow up. So we’ve got to fix this.
Here’s exactly what to do. You’ve got to get a lead magnet on your website. I give the farmers
inside the profitable farmer their own valuable free gift that their specific customers will want
to trade their email for it specific to their farm. It’s got to be something your customer wants
because it solves a problem. for them or helps them reach a goal and they’re willing to trade their
email for it. Okay. Again, no one wants another newsletter. They won’t sign up for that at the
frequency you need to build your email list if that’s what you have on your website.
So if you got a newsletter, you want to replace that with a free lead magnet. And then what you can
do is just have a QR code that links to a simple page where they enter their email and get the lead
magnet sent to them. You can have them scan that. coupon code from anywhere. And you could set that
up in your email software, whatever you use, MailChimp or Kit or Flowdesk or Constant Contact,
that’ll create this for you. And the page does not have to be fancy, just simple,
just a sentence about what they get in the box to type in their name and email. And then…
get busy putting that QR code in front of every single person who interacts with you this summer.
If you’re delivering flowers, make sure that QR code is on the back of your tag that accompanies
all the flowers. Or if you’re selling in a pop-up shop or another shop or another store,
make sure your QR code is on your product so they can get on your email list and get your lead
magnet. All right. I just had one farmer in the program. Tell me she signed up 300 people to her
email list at one farmer’s market 18 miles from her farm after watching my video on how crucial
that is. That’s 300 new potential customers. Many of those people will turn into longtime
customers. My oldest daughter is a flower farmer. She pays my youngest daughter,
who’s a college student, a dollar each for every email she signs up to the list at the farmer’s
market. It’s a great incentive for her to make 50 extra bucks on a Saturday,
right? And she learned the skill, she built her confidence doing so.
just gets so much skill development and personal development from that one thing.
And the coaching skill underneath this move is the ability to ask without apologizing for asking.
It will build your confidence. So the coaching skill is to have courage and then confidence comes
later. All right. The actual reason most farmers don’t have a thriving email list is not that they
don’t know what an email list is, but it’s that they’re uncomfortable asking strangers for their
email address. They feel pushy or salesy or like they’re imposing on them. So when a customer walks
up to your booth and you have the chance to say, hey, let me get your email so I can keep in touch
with you. And if you don’t do that, that’s not a strategy gap. It’s a coaching,
mindset coaching gap. The skill you’ve got to develop is believing that what you have to offer is
worth Someone being on your email list to get information about. Believing that your weekly email
helps people and serves people. Believing that the ask itself is a gift to them,
not an imposition. When that belief is in your bones, you’ll find yourself asking everyone.
And when it’s not in your bones, deepen it when you don’t believe in your product, yourself,
and your customer. and how you serve them. You won’t ask enough people to be on your email list.
You’ll wonder why your list isn’t growing. But again, mindset coaching helps you build this belief
quickly. When you learn the skills I teach, you will be able to get to confidence quickly.
So build the phrase in your head and build the belief that what you offer is worth being on your
email list. Build both at the same time. And then use that phrase like, Hey, let me get your email
so I can keep in touch with you. That’s all you have to say. Second time you do it, it’s easier.
Third time, it’s easier. And pretty soon you just find yourself doing it naturally. Okay, so action
number three is two. This week, what lead magnet are you going to get on your website and create
your QR code and start asking people for their email so that you can build your list?
All right. So this is your halftime reset. Steps one through three, we’ll dive into more next week.
But number one, pick the product you’re going to focus on for the back half of the year.
Build the skill of staying focused on it. Number two is pick one week to do your five-day sales
launch. Build the skill of feeling uncomfortable without distracting yourself with other things to
avoid it. And number three is get your QR code and your lead magnet in front of every potential
customer you run across this summer and build the skill of asking without apologizing.
I’ve been teaching farm marketing for 13 years now and I’ve watched thousands of farmers go through
the moves I just gave you. Here’s the pattern I notice every year. The farmers who succeed…
are not the ones who learn the most marketing tactics. There’s just a few marketing tactics that
work. The farmers who succeed are the ones who learn how to coach themselves through the moments
when their brain tried to talk them out of doing the marketing. That’s the actual game.
The strategy is the easy part. I lay that out step by step. It’s simple. The strategy fits on a
note card. The money-making skill. It’s the skill of executing it,
choosing and staying focused, feeling discomfort without distracting yourself, asking without
apologizing. Learning these coaching skills is the work. Most farmers never finish strong because
nobody ever taught them these skills. Not because they’re lazy, because we’re not. Farmers are the
hardest working people I know. Not because we’re not smart. It’s just nobody taught us the mindset
coaching skills that I wish we learned in grade school. They’re so life-changing. So I’m going to
spend the next year teaching the coaching skills. There’s 26 different skills at this point that I
will teach in weekly videos. We do coaching on any problem you have. It’s not… a marketing
course. It’s a separate, it’s called the Profitable Mindset Academy. You’re going to learn the
coaching skills and we’re going to solve all your problems in our weekly coaching calls. It is a 12
month coaching program open to women of all ages, all professions,
or maybe stay at home moms or single women, married women, young,
old, middle-aged, everything. All right. Every, every woman everywhere. Profitable Mindset
Academy. You’re going to learn to coach yourself. Learn all the skills I use that make my farmers
in my program have profitable and very fulfilling lives. It’s where every area of your life will
change. Your marriage, your health, your money, your relationships, the way you feel in your own
skin. If you have a farm, your farm will change. So these are the same coaching skills I have
spent, oh, the last… years, well, 25, 30 years learning and the last 10 years teaching people and
watching them have success beyond anything they ever imagined. So if you want to get on that list
to hear more about it, it is at charlottemsmith.com forward slash coach. So there’s a free video
in there and it’s going to teach you the foundational skill that’ll actually help you take these
three steps today that you learned about in here. So just know you’re not behind this year.
All right. You’re exactly halfway through a year that you are still in control of the outcome.
And next episode, I’m going to come back with step four, five, and six. We’re going to talk about
pricing. I’m going to have a little pricing audit for you that’s going to help get you more money.
And we’re going to get your six months planned on the wall. And we’re going to get you a day off.
We’re going to do all kinds of things next week. So thanks for being here today. And I will see you
in the next episode.
