#312: How Mindset Coaching Helped Her Reverse Autoimmune Symptoms, End Chronic Stress, and Take Her First Summer Off in Years

#312: How Mindset Coaching Helped Her Reverse Autoimmune Symptoms, End Chronic Stress, and Take Her First Summer Off in Years

Episode Summary

Picture this: it’s spring on the farm. You’re up before the sun, hitting the first fire of the day before you’ve even poured coffee. No rhythm. No plan. Just reaction.

The homeschooling’s behind. The girls are coming in hot to every rodeo pageant with zero prep. And somewhere in the middle of selling cheese and milk and bread and soap and registered dairy goats, she’s not actually making money at any of it.

That was Deidre Clifton of Prairie Peak Farms in central Kansas. Three girls, a homestead, and a body that was starting to wave the white flag. Six to eight months before she found this podcast, she’d been diagnosed with two autoimmune conditions and high blood pressure. She was young. She figured this was just… motherhood. Just farm life.

Here’s what nobody tells you: the thing that changed Deidre’s farm wasn’t a marketing hack. It was finally admitting she didn’t have time – and being okay with that. The day she stopped trying to do everything is the day everything started working.

In this episode, Deidre shares how she went from milking six goats and juggling five income streams to milking two, focusing on her goat milk soap, raising her prices without flinching, and taking June and July off, her first real summer break in five or six years. Her autoimmune symptoms? Gone. Her thyroid’s been checked twice. She credits the lowered stress.

This is the conversation for any farm woman who’s drowning in “shoulds” and convinced the answer is to hustle harder. It’s not. Deidre is living proof of what happens when you fix the mindset first.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode

  • Why doing less, not more, is how most farmers finally become profitable
  • How the “Power of One” works, and why you can’t get profitable selling 13 things if you can’t get profitable selling one
  • The time-management shift that let Deidre plan an entire stress-free homeschool year and a two-month family vacation
  • How chronic stress fuels autoimmune disease, and what changed when Deidre lowered hers
  • Why raising your prices isn’t unkind, and the mindset reframe that made it easy
  • How to build “margin time” into a farm week so interruptions stop wrecking you
  • The real reason investing in yourself is actually an investment in your whole family

Key Takeaways:

  • Focus on ONE Thing Until It’s Profitable. Deidre was making cheese, bread, and soap, plus selling milk and registered goats, and earning almost nothing across all of it. When she narrowed to goat milk soap sold one way, it finally gained momentum. You can’t get profitable selling many things if you haven’t gotten profitable selling one.
  • Your Stress Is a Health Issue, Not Just a Schedule Issue. Diagnosed young with two autoimmune conditions, Deidre assumed she’d be medicated for life. After learning to manage her mindset and lower her stress, her symptoms disappeared and her thyroid checks came back clear.
  • Build Margin Time Before You Need It. On a farm, interruptions are guaranteed: a vet emergency, a wrong-day feed delivery, two blown tires. Deidre protects Fridays as her margin day, so a lost Tuesday doesn’t become a lost week. She helps her husband “with joy” instead of resentment, because the time’s already planned.
  • Mindset Is the Lever for Everything Else. Deidre came for marketing and got a transformed life: calmer parenting, a stronger marriage, a healed body, and a more profitable farm. If you think you “just need to make more money,” that path runs straight through your mindset.

Memorable Quotes

“The time management changed my life. All of a sudden I had a clear picture of what I actually could handle.” — Deidre

“It’s not necessarily an investment in your farm. It’s an investment in yourself and in your family.” — Deidre

“You can’t get profitable selling multiple things if you can’t get profitable selling one thing.” — Charlotte

FAQ

Q: What is the “Power of One” in farm marketing?

The Power of One means focusing on a single product sold in a single way until it’s profitable, then branching out. Most struggling farmers spread themselves across many products and channels and never make real money at any of them. Concentrating on one offer lets it gain the momentum it needs.

Q: How can farmers avoid burnout and still get everything done?

By building in “margin time,” buffer hours each week to absorb the interruptions inevitable on a farm. Deidre protects Fridays as her catch-up day, so an unexpected vet trip doesn’t derail her entire week.

Q: Should small farmers raise their prices?

Often, yes. Keeping prices artificially low usually keeps the farm unprofitable. The mindset shift is recognizing that customers always choose where their money goes, and pricing for profit isn’t unfair to them, it’s necessary for your business to survive.

Hi, everyone. Welcome to the Profitable Mindset Podcast today. I am so excited to introduce you to
one of my clients who’s going to share her story on her farm of her struggles and success and share
about how mindset work especially has been so life-changing.
And anyway, I will let you introduce yourself, Deidre. So Deidre Clifton of Prairie Peak Farms,
tell us. Who you are, where you are, what you farm, and give us your website address too so people
can look you up if they want. Okay. My name is Deidre Clifton. I live in central Kansas.
We’ve lived here for about nine years. I have three girls and we homeschool.
We have dairy goats, dairy cows, and…
little things here and there. My primary focus is goat milk soap though. So my website is
prairiepeakfarms.com. Great. Wonderful. Thank you so much for doing this today. You’re going to
help so many. I’m really excited to share your story. Because when I heard the success you’ve had,
I was like, oh my gosh, we have to share this with the world so that farmers know there’s help out
there. Let’s go back to, I think you’ve been in the program a little less than a year.
So right, right at, I think I joined. Yeah. Right out of here,
maybe even a little bit more, but yeah, right in there. Okay. So sometime late spring of 2025,
tell me, what were you struggling with? What was going on in your life that made you think,
oh, I need to, I need some help with my farm. And I’m willing to pay for it.
And you were looking around. What was going on? Paint us a picture.
So springtime is really busy for farmers. And I was doing my usual springtime everything.
Like basically it was get up and hit the first thing that’s happening that day to get done.
And I didn’t have a rhythm and I didn’t really have a schedule. And I was just putting fires out
rather than.
planning. We were falling behind with our homeschooling and like we always used to do in the
springtime, like everything goes to the back burner and we’re just in farm mode, you know, and I
can’t even remember somebody recommended your podcast or I might’ve just come across it.
And I remember specifically. listening to one about the power of one.
And I was like, oh, because I was making cheese and I was selling milk and I was making bread and I
was making soap and trying to sell registered dairy goats. And I mean, I had so many irons in the
fire. And I was like, oh, that’s that is something. And I also remember being overwhelmed
delivering. I was meeting people and and trying to,
you know, get things. And it was just, it was stressful. And I was always like,
my prices were really low. I wasn’t making any money. And I just, I,
like I said, specifically, I remember the power of one and making people come to you,
developing the relationship where they wanted to come to me. And that, those two things were,
where I was like, okay, like this really sounds like something great that could help me out. yeah
good and the power of one for everyone listening is focus when you focus on one product and work on
getting it profitable sold in one way meaning you’re not going to 13 farmers markets you’re going
to one 13 where you’re not making enough money but you focus on one product sold in one way until
you get profitable and then you branch out that’s how farmers get profitable and many people
Farmers come to me like you selling 13 different things in different ways and not making money at
any of them. So I’m glad to hear that connected with you. And it does. You can’t get profitable
selling multiple things if you can’t get profitable selling one thing. So I’m glad that connected.
So you were behind in homeschooling and overworked and just starting the day in reaction mode.
What were some of the, how are you feeling? Like what emotions does that, what do you remember?
Well, just, I mean, stress, just major stress all the time.
And my girls, they, you know, they’re in activities and stuff. And rather than having a plan of how
to prepare for it, they do like rodeo queening. pageants and that takes a lot of prep work.
And so we just be coming in hot every week to those pageants, you know, with hardly any,
because I didn’t plan my time accordingly. And so it was just stressful.
Like, and it just felt like one thing after another, after another and, um, just anxiety and
stress. Yeah. All right. Thanks. Thanks for sharing that. So many. People will relate.
So then once you joined, tell me what happened. Like what happened first? What happened second? How
did it go? So I don’t remember if I knew there was a time management portion in it or not,
if I found out after I joined, but I was like, oh, this is going to be great. Like maybe this will
help me out. And the time management changed my life. Like all of a sudden I had a clear picture
of. what I actually could handle. And I remember being disappointed in myself all the time because
I was like, I should be able to do this stuff. I should be able to do this. Why am I stressed out?
Why can’t I do more? And the time management taught me to really pick things apart. And like,
actually, you don’t have time for that. You don’t. And so that part,
I was just like, wow. And that changed the way that everything was going.
And I remember coaching with you maybe last August or something and how time management was the
number one thing that stood out. Has that spilled over? Because I teach a very unique process,
different than anything anyone’s going to learn elsewhere in the world. Have you seen it spill over
into your girls, your husband or any? Oh yeah. This is the first homeschool year.
We’ve been, we’ve been homeschooling for six years and this is the first year that I was, I mean,
it’s been great. We are almost done now and it wasn’t stressful.
It was planned because I took the time and I planned the year. And so.
But but also other things, you know, now when we’re going to rodeo pageants, we’re completely
prepared. We show up and we’ve got the things. And because I took the time and I I put it into my
schedule, knowing other things would have to wait for this. And so, yeah, it’s definitely I mean,
we’re more on time for stuff now because it’s just squeaking in last minute to everything.
We’re on time. And so, yeah, it’s I mean, which means when you’re truly. When you’re on time,
I’m sure you’re much calmer. Your kids are much calmer. So then stress and anxiety a year ago,
what is that? Like, I also, I want to, before I let you answer that, I want to just mention that
this program, because so many people say, oh, I had no idea it’s so holistic.
It’s a marketing program, marketing and mindset, but it affects. every area of your life.
So you didn’t come to me to be able to finally get your homeschooling done every year in a calm
way, but that’s a natural positive consequence of this program that I just love hearing because so
many of us notice once they start doing the mindset work, especially that I teach that their lives.
every other area of their life changes and they didn’t even realize that. Has your,
what relationship, like has your relationship with your kids and husband changed?
Yeah. Yeah. I would say, I mean, it’s just, since we’re not rushed, I’m not,
you know, I don’t raise my voices often now because we’ve got more time. And my girls also,
like they’ve implemented it into their days with their chores and it’s helped me even in
relationships. outside of my family, like just dealing with stressful situations.
And then that’s not really the time management part, but the mindset coaching of the program has
helped me. And, you know, when I first joined, I have that high blood pressure and I had,
I got diagnosed with two autoimmune diseases, thyroid, six months before I joined eight months.
And I knew it was from stress, you know, that I, but I just, before this program,
I had no idea how to manage it. I was just spinning my wheels and. I’d like to,
I’d love to hear more about that. Cause that, when I first heard you mention that last time you
were on a group call that you overcame two autoimmune diseases and your blood pressure,
tell me more about the health stuff. So I’m sure you didn’t expect that. You didn’t expect this
class would help you with that, but. Yeah. So I, uh, I am,
I definitely lean more towards natural and stuff. So I got diagnosed with both of them.
And, you know, the first thing I want to do is, well, here’s these meds. And I was like, there’s
gotta be a better way to deal with this. Like, I would really like to try to figure out if
lifestyle changes can. And this is before I had any idea about the program. So I kind of started
doing things at home and then I found the program and. I never struggled with symptoms after that.
Like, and I, I’ve had my thyroid checked twice and, and I think it’s because I’ve lowered my
stress. You know, I’m not running at this high level of stress all the time.
I just want to say to everyone listening, how common it is that I get women into the,
you know, we have about 300 people a year go through this program. Many of them struggle with
autoimmune. disorders. And then once you have one, studies show you’re susceptible to two and three
and four. And then they say they’re off all their meds and they don’t have the symptoms anymore.
It’s mind blowing. So I think it’s, you know, we so don’t, we,
we know stress contributes to our health, but I don’t think we, I don’t think you get it.
Not you personally, but. I know I don’t get it until I start hearing these stories of how
profoundly it really is affecting us. So, and you’re young. I know I was so disappointed with the
diagnosis because I was like, I’m so young and you’re so young. I was just so stressed out.
I’m in the thick of motherhood. All my kids are from nine to 13, you know, and I just thought it
was life. I just thought, well, this is it. And this is. Just what happens when you have three
children. Yeah. And you turn that around. I am so just like honored to be in your life and everyone
else’s life knowing that these are the types of things that happen when you learn to manage your
mindset. So what does that mean to you?
Tell me like if you could just. describe it what’s it mean to you that at your young age when you
thought oh no I have this diagnosis I’m gonna live with the rest of my life or have to take meds
for and now it’s gone what does that mean to you um I mean I mean it’s it was just huge um I it’s
gosh um I mean it’s I feel blessed that I’m able to pass down these These things that I’ve learned
to my kids, you know, so that when they get out and start doing their things in adulthood,
like they’ll have some tools that I can hopefully teach them. But I and just knowing that I’m not
as of right now going to be on medication for the rest of my life. And that’s a really big deal to
me, you know, being able to to to not have to medicate myself through my life and knowing that.
Just with some mindset coaching and some time management, like I was able to just recenter and it’s
just, yeah. Yeah, that’s great. It’s been wonderful. I found mindset work for the same reason.
I was really sick in my thirties and the doctor said, You’re going to die unless you get on meds.
Your stress is, he said, you’re not going to die sometime in the future. You’re going to have a
stroke if you don’t fix this. And I found mindset work. it’s so life-changing and that’s why I’m,
I’m so passionate. Like every woman needs this. Well, and I think it’s funny because like,
it’s a marketing program, but the mindset side of it has been, that has been huge for me,
like huge. And so what other parts of the mindset, time management,
the way I teach it, it’s full of mindset management. Like you learn it in there, but what are the
ones that stand out that you’ve learned? And maybe you don’t even, you know,
coaching is unique and that I’m not sitting there lecturing you on or giving you definitions,
right? But do you know which tools or what’s the biggest change transformation in your life with
the mindset coaching? Your health, of course.
I remember. feeling like I was behind all the time. Like,
well, this farm is doing this already. Like I missed it. I missed the train. You know, this farm
started selling cheese and I haven’t started selling cheese yet. Now I’m behind or. So beating
yourself up constantly. Yeah. Yeah. And being stressed out that I was behind.
Yeah. Oh no, I missed, I missed it. And I learned that. There’s plenty of room for everybody.
There’s plenty of room for all of us. The neighbor can sell the same exact thing that I do. As long
as we’re building relationships, we’re both going to do fine.
Dealing with difficult people, that was another thing.
There’s a farm close to me that there’s a lot of…
keeping up with the Joneses kind of. And I used to be so frustrated over that.
And now I’m just like, it’s okay. Like they can choose to do what they want and I’m just going to
keep doing what I’m doing and, you know, be kind. And, and that,
that dealing with relationships was another big part of what I’ve learned and how not to get all
worked up and then lose sleep over it for a week because. I was afraid somebody was mad at me.
Yeah, this is wonderful. So good. And acceptance of reality. Yes.
There’s a lot of that skill being learned every week with farmers who think we should be doing way
more than we actually can. Yeah. Yeah. Let’s dive into the farm side of it,
like the improvements on the farm. What’s been happening there? Share your successes. That has been
great too. When I first joined, I think I was milking six goats.
And I remember, I don’t remember which podcast it was, but there was a gal that milked goats that
got on the podcast and she was so overwhelmed. And it was literally like you were coaching me when
I was listening to her and, and you just had coached her through like, you know,
there’s only so many hours in a day. You’re only one person. And what do you want to sit back and
think about what you want? And it made me kind of turn and look at my little homestead. And I was
like, okay, like, What do we need to do? And so since then we’ve backed off to two milk goats,
which is wonderful and so manageable. I’m so much happier. Like it’s not,
I’m not overwhelmed. And, um, we started calf sharing with our cows. So I’m not,
you know, if we have something going on on the weekend, I leave the calves on and, and I just,
I scaled way back to a manageable place and I enjoy it. You know,
I’m not waking up in the morning going, Oh my gosh. Yeah. Oh my gosh. I have so much to do and I
don’t want to do it at all. Right. And you raised your prices, right? Yes. Yeah.
Yeah. I did do that. So that was really hard for me because I had the mindset of, you know,
I want to keep things cheap because I don’t want to make anybody. I want to keep things.
affordable because a lot of people can’t afford right quote unquote um and that’s another thing i
learned is that like people’s money is going somewhere they are making the choice to where it goes
they can’t afford it they just choose not to kind of a mindset and so i did i raised my prices and
i had somebody mention it to me actually just yesterday and i was i didn’t get like oh my gosh,
you know, they’re bothered that I raised my prices. She mentioned something and I was just like,
yeah, I raised my prices, you know, and then we just moved on with the conversation. And I also
went from making 10,000 things to soap. I do a little bit of cheese on the side and a little bit
of bread on the side, but. That was a big part of it because my soap was trying to gain momentum,
but I wasn’t allowing it to gain that momentum because I had so many irons in the fire.
So when I focused on the one. Yep. I’m so glad you pointed that out because if anyone listening,
if that’s the only change they make, they can’t help but have success.
Like just go from trying to sell all the things to focus on one thing. And I just,
I, I, preach this all the time. And the farmers who do it have so much success and credit their
success to, I finally focused on one thing. Oh, that’s wonderful. Good.
Well, tell me how, what, tell me about coming into the program. We have coaching calls.
We’re, you know, moving to our summer schedule with one call a week as people get busier and
busier. What’s that like having the the calls, what do you think about them? What’s the experience
like? I love the coaching calls. And I, I think I,
you know, I don’t make all of them, but it’s so nice to have them there when you need them for,
I mean, I mean, you coached me the other day on too much rain at my house.
I know about that. You know what I mean? Yeah. And, but I can go to, to a call for that, or I can
go to a call about an email that I sent and. And then just being able to listen to the replays.
There’s always something in the replays that I can connect with and go, oh, and like you’d think
after listening to so many all year long, it would get redundant. But every call I’m like,
oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That. Oh, yeah. I need to try that. And yeah, yeah.
You learn so much from and it’s all farmers. It’s not just one type of farmer. It’s flowers,
meat, milk, eggs, wine, breeding stock. miniature Scottish Highland cows,
puppies, horse training. It’s, it’s wine, all the different things. Yeah.
Yeah. What do you think about that? The variety of people farms that are, I love that too, because
we can, even though we’re doing completely different things, you can still grab ideas from,
from somebody else. And, and I love the community,
like the Facebook community too, like being able to just pop in there and everybody’s so welcoming
and kind and helpful and i love the little community that we have i think it’s great there’s
brilliant brilliant farmers in there and everyone in there i think we’ve intentionally created a
really safe place to be but also generous Like everyone is so willing to share their ideas that
maybe they worked hard to create or discover, you know, their costly design,
whatever it might be, they share it. And we all get to benefit from each other’s success.
And then if you jump in there with a problem, there’s a bunch of people that will help you and
solve it. Like you will fix your problems, you know? Yeah, so many resources.
Yeah. That’s great. Well, what else? What else do you want to share? Is there something else you
wanted to let everyone know or just that you’re celebrating in your life,
your family?
Gosh, I shared quite a bit. I mean, this summer we actually…
took a summer kind of of rest. So we’re going to spend the month of June and most of July,
just, we’re going to go on a little vacation and we’re going to, and we, I took the time to do
that. And that this is the first summer in five or six years.
Okay. That is life-changing. I have farmers who come to me and say, we haven’t been off the farm
in 20 years or, or more because we get this idea. Well,
It’s this learned skill. Like you had to learn the skill of being able to calm down your mind and
calm down your life so you could plan to take it, take off. And tell me about that.
Like, I don’t want to gloss over that. What’s that mean to you to be able to take June, July off,
go on vacation? Yeah, it’s well, it’s nice to do it and not feel guilty about it.
Exactly. Yeah. Do it and not and not feel like, oh, we should really be working just.
setting i set that time aside and i was like this is what we’re gonna do and it’s okay because i
had it planned you know i i’m it’s and so yeah i mean and it’s i think for our whole family it’s
just gonna be really nice just being together and doing some things you know instead of running
like we usually do we’re just gonna be together and do fun things together and wake up a lot of the
days and not know what we’re going to do that day. And maybe we’ll go to the zoo or maybe we’ll
just stay home, you know? And so I’m, I’m very excited about that. And I’m, like I said,
just being able to do it without feeling guilty. Cause sometimes it’s so hard to get, to leave the
farm and yeah, it’s just so hard. And I’ve created, because I have cut back in certain places,
I’ve created a space where I can step away without being super stressed out because there’s not.
500 goats to milk for the tour house. Oh my gosh. Yeah. I have this document I’m working on called
signs. You’re not getting coached and it’s a whole list of things. And it’s like.
You feel guilty taking time off. You haven’t left the farm in years.
Or if you do, you feel terrible. You’re overworking. You’re stressed.
You’re sick. You have autoimmune, like all these signs that you’re not getting coached.
And then the signs that you are getting coached is your life today. You know, you’ve turned it
around. You can enjoy your family. Life is short. It’s fleeting. We see. social media.
I mean, we see reports every day and many of them hit close to home. There’s people in the program,
your colleagues here that classmates that have, you know, been diagnosed with cancer and things
life goes so fast. So to be able to now enjoy the farm life that you dreamed of,
like it’s gotta be everything. Yeah. One of, I think my favorite things is when I joined,
I joined with this group of ladies and then those of us that have stayed, watching them and how
their little farms have like, and the way even there, I remember those first original coaching
calls when all of us were coming in, had no idea. We were all just drowning in all this stuff.
And then I look at where we’re at now and I listened to them get coached and I see them in the
Facebook group and we’re all just, it’s changed so much and you can see it in them.
And, and that’s the, The mindset work you’ve done, like those farms,
those farmers would not be successful like that today had they not addressed their mindset.
Like, you know, if there’s anyone listening that thinks, oh, that’s nice, but it’s not for me. I
just need to learn how to make more money. The only way you can make more money is if you address
your mindset. And you’re an example of that. Yeah. That’s wonderful.
I’m so glad you have those connections with those people you originally started with. Oh, this has
been so, so good. So exciting. Do people notice, like, do people in your life notice that you’ve
grown or? Yeah, I think so. Because I didn’t really have.
Even though it felt like everything in my life was last minute, I didn’t have a lot of time. I
didn’t have extra time for doing things that weren’t work or farm or the kids, you know, and now I
do. I’ve made time where I have a friend that has random days off. And I used to just tell her no
constantly. I can’t hang out. I cannot come over and help you because I don’t have time. I don’t
have time. And now I have a margin day of time that I’ve created. And so if she needs help, I can
say, yeah, I can come over and help you out. I’ve also noticed with my husband, his job is I need
to be available when he’s off of work. And if he’s working on a project, I kind of need to be fluid
to go help with that when he’s home. And I used to get so stressed out. Like I have this planned. I
cannot help you. I remember coaching you on that last summer. I remember that specifically.
So tell me about that. What’s going on there. And now I don’t feel bad when,
you know, if he, some evening is like, Oh, Hey, I was going to go work on this. Can you go help me?
I’m like, yeah, because I have extra time in my week set aside. So for whatever I was going to do
here, yeah, I’ll go help you out and I’ll just get my stuff done. My day is Friday. That’s the day
that I kind of have as my margin day. But and that that’s been wonderful because then I think I was
getting resentful of like, this is my time and you’re now I have to go help you.
And then I would get flustered and stressed out because then this wasn’t getting done. And now
that’s another another with joy. That’s amazing. Another sign you’re not getting coached.
You feel resentful towards. The farm, customers, people, things, anything. And now that resentment
has dropped. So, oh, that’s amazing. And that’s one thing I teach farmers for those listening is
you’ve got to learn to build in margin time so that because on a farm,
you’re going to be interrupted. It’s just a given. You can’t stop the interruptions. So if you’re
going to be interrupted, I’ve created this thing where we have to accommodate.
for and plan for the interruptions. We don’t know what day it’s going to happen or how long it’s
going to last, but we know it’s going to happen. So we plan for what do you need?
Do you need two hours a day or two hours a week to plan for those interruptions?
Because when you look, when we look back over our farms, they do happen. So do they happen every
day or once a week? And we plan accordingly. So you’ve, and I teach everyone to do it in a way that
works for them. So you have taken all set aside Fridays. That’s your margin time to get caught up
with anything that was interrupted. You know, you got a feed delivery on the wrong day.
You had to drop everything and go take care of it. And then Friday’s your day to get caught up.
Yep. Or like just this last week, animal needs to go to the vet, you know? So you lose pretty much
a whole day by the time I drive all the way down. But I didn’t get stressed out because I was like,
oh, I’ve got time at the end of the week. I’ll just take care of my stuff then. Yeah. I’ll never
forget with someone I interviewed on the podcast. She had maybe four of her kids in the car and she
hauling cattle to the slaughter or she was going to pick up. I can’t remember. And on the freeway
and she got not one, but two blown out tires. And she said, for the first time,
I just sat there and I wasn’t stressed and I wasn’t worried and we just dealt with it. And I had
margin time to make up for it. So that’s one of the most life changing things that,
you know, learning, yeah. Yeah. Learning the time management is incredible. So,
yeah. And learning to like. sit with the feeling rather than fight it off like I used to feel
anxious or angry or whatever and then I’d like fight against it which made it and just learning
okay sit with it for a second and then let’s shift our mindset and I find myself even with people
in my life, being able to help them through hard stuff because I’m like, oh, oh,
you’re struggling. And I don’t tell them this, but my brain goes, oh, okay. They just need to shift
their mindset. And so I’ll try to like, you know, help them through with that. And I’m like, it’s
pretty, I don’t know. It changed my life. Like the mindset part of this program changed my life.
And I’m so glad like my soap business is doing, it’s doing well. We’re still on the up and up.
But it’s doing well. But man, the mindset and the time management just. Yeah.
Without that, I wouldn’t be doing as well with the soap. You know what I mean? Like. Yeah. And
you’d probably be taking meds by now or. Yeah. And I’d be honest. Who knows what? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Well, this is wonderful. Thanks so much for coming and sharing because there’s so many listeners
that have. They, they know they need something, but they don’t know what help is out there.
So I’m just grateful for you coming on here and sharing. But now if there is a last question,
I’d like to ask everyone, if there is a woman listening who is just kind of seeing herself in you,
like, oh, I wish I could feel some of these things. I wish I could lessen the stress and get my
life. and time under control and have all my relationships improve and no longer feel behind and,
and all the wonderful things you’re expressing, but she’s scared to invest money in herself or she
feels guilty or she’s on the fence or she doesn’t think it’ll work for her. Or,
you know, there’s so many, so many women who have those thoughts and they go through the program.
They’re like, Oh my gosh, I’m so glad I did. For that person who’s hesitant, who’s wondering, will
it even work for me? Is it just that Deidre is a special unicorn and that’s why it worked for her?
What would you say to that person who is uncomfortable investing in herself and her mental
wellbeing, you know, her mindset and her farm. Yeah. Well, I was her,
I think. And, um, you, I think you do like a 30 minute learn about the program call before you.
And in that call, I remember it was with Rebecca and I remember asking her, like I am,
or just saying, I’m so afraid to lose all my money because I wasn’t making any money. And so the
financial investment of it, I was so nervous because at that time with my tiny little farm that
didn’t make any money. I was like, this is a huge investment. Like I could buy so much hay with
this. And I can’t, I don’t, when I think about it now, I’m like, I don’t know what I did before.
Right. And so my, I, I had, I guess my,
it, this has helped me in so many other ways. than just my farm like it’s changed who I am as a as
a person truly like it’s made me more reliable because I I can stop and go help rather than just
I’m putting out my own fires I’m sorry I can’t you know it’s and so I guess my encouragement would
be It is an investment, but it’s not necessarily an investment in your farm. It’s an investment in
yourself and in your family. I’m a better mother because of it now. I’m a better wife.
And so, and I mean, now I’m on my second year. I was like, well, I can’t wait about this now.
Then you came back. Yeah. Cause you get to come back at 60% off.
Yeah. Yeah. So worth every single bit of it. And you are worth investing in.
All of us are worth investing in ourselves. Yeah. Because it’s,
and actually I’ve had many women say you’re investing in your family when you invest in yourself,
because look what you’ve done for your kids and your husband too, in the community. Yeah.
Yeah. Well, thank you so much for being here today, sharing your story. This was,
this was fun. It’s been wonderful having you here. So I appreciate it. And everyone go check out
her website and just thanks for listening in. I want these episodes to be inspirational so that
women know there’s help out there. They don’t have to live under such stress and stuff.
So yeah. Thanks for being here. Thanks.
